  1. Alisha, Have a blessed trip and fruitful time of ministry. How blessed are the feet of those who bring good news. Remember, above all else, share the good news of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Your babe is safe and sound here with us! Getting ready to fix her pancakes for breakfast!

I am praying for a safe, successful and blessed trip. Alisha, "remember how God first called you to make this trip. I am sure those you come in contact with will appreciate the sacrafice you have made away from your earthly family. God bless all of you who are sharing the love of Jesus to those you come in contact with."

  3. First leg of our trip from Columbus to Miami was uneventful (always good). A short delay right now (1:20 min). Just using this as a great time for the team to get to know each other better. This is God's plan and we're good with it.

  5. This is Lauren writting on Alisha´s account. We arrived safely in El Salvador on Saturday. Today was our first day of serving in the community. We had a group begin construction on the permanent clinic that will be attached to the church. They collected rocks from the beach that they will use to make the floor with cement. They also tore down two walls. We set up the health clinic today and saw a lot of people. We shared the gospel and the people had the opportunity to see our doctor, Dr. George, and receive medicine and see our chiropractor, Alisha. We also spent time with the children in the nutrition center and were able to play with them. It has been wonderful to meet the people here and learn about their lives. God is definitely at work!

  6. Hi everyone, this is Alisha this time. First off, hello to my family, I miss you all so much. Hannah and Grayson, mommy looks at your pictures every day, many times, and I have shared them with all my new friends. Hannah I take the two pieces of art that you made for me everywhere I go. You are such a talented artist and it makes me smile everytime I look at them. I hope you are having a wonderful time with Daddy. I have no doubt that you are! >Grayson, I hope you are being equally spoiled by Aunt Amy and Uncle Kent. Are you being a good girl and staying in your big girl bed? I love you girls with all my heart and I can´t wait to see you and hold you. Be ready, I might not let you go for awhile. Dave, I miss you so much, but I promise to come back a better wife and mother to you. Just like you told me he would, God is at work in my heart and I already see a softening in certain ways and a longing to know our father even more. I have two amazing women as my roomates and they are challenging me to go deeper every day.
Mom and Dad, Aunt Mary, Cindy, Skip and to my loving brothers and sister in laws, I love you and I am so thankful to have been blessed with such a great family. I´m sorry I don´t say that often enough. I take that for granted at times and I am sorry for that. Mom, I hope you are hanging in there, I know you must be exhausted; and Dad, I hope you are pushing hard everyday to get back up on your feet. I know you can do it, I´m praying for you both all the time.
The entire team is fantastic, they are all so on fire for the Lord and I am learning so much. The work we are doing here is such a blessing. I have had the honor of treating patients all day and my teammates tonight. Almost everyone that I have treated has never had Chiropractic care before and it´s been such a blessing to share what I love to do with everyone. It´s been a big success, thank you for all your prayers in that area. Dr. George is so great. He has been very supporting of what I do. He is a specialist in infectious diseases, so what a blessing he is to these people. We have been able to hand out vitamins and much needed medicines. I have been giving out traumeel like crazy :) El Salvadorians love it as much as we do, ha. Lauren has stayed busy in the nutrition clinic and is also doing a great job!

The rest of the team has been very busy with building a permanent medical clinic...please pray for their continued strength and safety. Others have been evangelizing and the people really love it. Everyone has a role to play and they are all doing it so well. Tomorrow I will be back in the clinic, the construction continues and several of the younger girls will go to the school to share God. Pray for them.

As always, I am running on. I am just so excited. The people at the church are so kind and it´s been a pleasure to learn about their lives. Ok, I must go. I don´t know when we will be able to get back on, but I will try to check back in. Thank you Amy and Aunt Mary for your posts, they mean a lot. Please continue to pray for our team that we are able to reach as many people as we can with the word of God. This is the best thing that we could do while down here. Our medical efforts are temporary, but bringing someone to God´s grace is forever and of course, life changing!

I love you all. I can´t wait to share more when I get back.

  7. Lish,
I am so happy you are finding your way onto God's path similar to the way I did in Haiti. I am certain that he is opening your eyes to his wonderful and mysterious ways. I remember what it was like to experience the "sight" that I had been lacking in so many ways for so long. It is a surprisingly surreal and superbly amazing encounter. Cherish the time that you have down there and know, not think, that what you are doing is God's work and making a huge difference. You are one of God's most amazing gifts in this time on Earth and I fully believe that the feeling that you had in your heart in Church that day to join a mission trip was God's calling and I am so happy and proud that you stepped up to the plate. We miss you terribly and can't stop thinking about you. I don't think it really hit me that you were gone until we were praying at dinner last night, where I was about to say "Lish it is your turn tonight". :) Hannah always includes you and the team in her prayers. I know that Grayson is having a blast with Kent, Amy and your parents. She was a hit at the nursing home your Mom said and is keeping them in stitches. Take care, we love you and cannot wait to see you soon. The good news is that I have not yet forgotten to pick up Hannah once, although the week is young. :). Godspeed my love.
    Love, Dave

You all look so good in the blog picture, I'm sure you gave up on taking care of the hair and makeup now.
I'm so proud of all of you for the sacrifices you are making to care for people so far away and spread Christ's word to areas where people really need to hear it and have hope.
Stay fired up, excited, and experience the gratitude of all the people you are helping!
Can't wait to hear your voice again!

  13. Hello my dear family. Dave, thank you so much for your posts, your letter, and the pics that I've finally found. They meant so much to me! I will tell you all about how I found each one over a three day period, just when I needed to find them. Of course, God was in charge of that. Hannah, thank you so much for your prayers for mommy and the team. I know you have a direct line to God, so I feel so safe knowing you are praying for us. I miss you more than I can tell you and I am so excited to see you very soon. Grayson, I love you baby, you have made Grandma and Grandpa and your aunts and uncles very happy this week! I have to go now because others are waiting to use the computer. I love you all. Remind me to tell you about our day today, I have some cool stories about the people and in particular a policeman that I adjusted today. I am praying for you all at home. Love, Lish/Mommy
